New opportunities to equip youth and children's ministry
South West Youth Ministries have had funding to conduct research into youth and children's work in the South West and they are keen to hear from Churches in our part of Gloucestershire. Would you be willing to sign up here to receieve the survey?
SWYM hope that as a part of this research they might be able to channel new work into areas of most need and least coverage in the future as well as to ascertain if the resources and training we provide for local churches to equip and resource them is in fact what they really want.
In order to get the research survey out to as many churches and organisations as possible SWYM have created a sign up form. Once the survey is ready to be launched, which is likely to be in November, they will then email everyone who has signed up so that they can fill it in.
This is an incredibly exciting project and we would love for you to get involved by signing up.

MORE INFO ON THE PROJECT
South West Youth Ministries (SWYM) has been serving local churches across the region, helping resource and equip youth and children's ministry over the last 23 years. Having a reasonable understanding of the challenges and opportunities in reaching and discipling this generation SWYM are all too aware that their ministry is just scratching the surface.
SWYM are therefore keen to get a snap-shot of the provision both within and outreach to children and young people across the region with the aim to get a picture of where there is excellent coverage and impact being made that could be replicated but also areas where there is a barren wasteland of ministry to this generation.
Their hope is that as a part of this research we might be able to channel new work into areas of most need and least coverage in the future as well as to ascertain if the resources and training we provide for local churches to equip and resource them is in fact what they really want. In conclusion thier hope is to get a clear snap-shot of ministry to this generation in this region to inform and help us to draw some conclusions that might shape our and others energy and investment in the years to come.
It is really exciting to be a part of this research project and we want to encourage every church in the SW to get involved so we might get the fullest picture of exactly what 'The Church' is doing in terms of children and young people so together across denominational divides we can work together to reach a generation in every corner of the region.
