CaBiC appoint new Anna Coordinator for Cheltenham and Bishop's Cleeve

Gill Ford has been appointed by CaBiC to lead Anna Chaplaincy in the area and to build a network of chaplains and supporters throughout the area.

Anna Chaplaincy is a national, interdenominational, community-based and person-centred approach to supporting older people, together with the families and carers, both spiritually and pastorally.

Gill, who is a part-time law lecturer at UWE, has many years’ experience of befriending older people both for Silver Line and the Friends for You project. She has also helped organise services and support sessions for older people at Holy Apostles Church in Cheltenham where she worships.

“We are thrilled and excited by Gill’s appointment’ said Reverend Brian Dunlop chair of CaBiC, the charity set up to bring Anna Chaplaincy to the area. "She brings experience and energy, which will enable us to significantly step up what we offer in Cheltenham and Bishop’s Cleeve."

Her appointment has been made possible by generous grants from All Churches Trust and the Life Development fund and we are enormously grateful for their generosity and support’.
