Cheltenham Christian Arts Festival are launching their third Sermon Slam with a new look: the event final will be LIVE online.

We are all different, with something unique to say. And, for that reason, the Sermon Slam competition is open to people of all ages whether young, midlife or beautifully mature.

This Sermon Slam event epitomises the intentions of Rupert Kaye, new Chair of the Christian Arts Festival, to be innovative, encouraging and inclusive. Twice nominated for the Teacher of the Year, Rupert likes to engage adults and children by adapting his teaching style and deliberately mixing things up. He says: “I like to push boundaries and challenge assumptions. But most of all, I love bringing individuals of all ages from a wide range of backgrounds together to write, jam, perform and enjoy art and entertainment.” Rupert Kaye: Email

The competition is for anyone wanting to preach on a Bible passage of their choice in their own style, they just submit a video recording of their 3-minute sermon by Email or via WhatsApp Nikki Seville 07980 332281 by midday on Saturday 3 April 2021 to be considered for selection by our panel of judges.

The Sermon Slam judges will score video entries on the clarity of the word/message and the quality of presentation. And, for entrants who go through to the final, the audience will have a say too!

For those who get chosen for the final live Sermon Slam, they will need to prepare a new message on a different Bible text to share live at the event on Saturday 24 April 2021 at 7pm.

Yes, there will be a PRIZE for the WINNER. But, much more important than that, every entrant has a golden opportunity to have their say and be heard by our judges. All participants need to do is choose a scripture and start preparing, polishing, perfecting and pre-recording their meaty mini

3-minute message for Sermon Slam 2021.
